Paul Connell
Paul Connell (Pól) is an Irish contemporary visual artist and educator based between Cork and Offaly. His practice primarily concerns expanded drawing, moving image and works on paper and blackboards.
The Irish language and oral tradition are significant elements within his process and inter-lingual wordplay often trespasses into the visual or conceptual vocabulary of the work.
Pól teaches at both post-primary and third level, and was recently nominated for the National University of Ireland's Scholarship & Prize in Education Award in 2021.
